Softsouq Terms of Use

1. Definitions

For these terms:

• “Site” or “Softsouq”: the Softsouq online store and all related pages, services, and platforms.
• “Store”: the platform through which software products are listed and sold.
• “User” or “Customer”: anyone who browses the site, creates an account, or buys a product.
• “Product”: any program, application, licence, activation key, or digital service offered for sale.
• “Licence”: the right to use the software under the terms of the developer or rights holder.
• “Digital key”: a code, key, or data used to activate the software.
• “Digital content”: programs, keys, licences, files, and digital information delivered electronically.

2. Use of the site

You may use the site for lawful purposes only. You agree to:

1. Provide accurate information when creating an account or making a purchase.
2. Keep your login details confidential.
3. Not use the site for illegal or fraudulent activity.
4. Not attempt to hack, disrupt, or access the site or its data without authorisation.
5. Not copy, resell, or distribute site content without prior written consent.
6. Not use products or licences in a way that breaches the developer’s or rights holder’s terms.

Softsouq may suspend or close any account that breaches these terms or harms the site, its customers, or third-party rights.

3. Accounts

Buying some products may require a Softsouq account. You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of the information you provide.
• Keeping your password safe.
• All activity under your account.
• Notifying Softsouq at once if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

You may not create multiple accounts to evade offers, limits, or store policies.

4. Products and software

Softsouq takes reasonable care to keep product information accurate, including name, version, operating system, requirements, and licence type. Some features or requirements may still differ according to the developer or version.

You are responsible for checking that the product works with your device and operating system before you buy.

Unless the product page clearly says otherwise, buying software or an activation key does not transfer copyright or intellectual property. You receive a right to use the software under the licence type and the rights holder’s terms.

5. Licences and activation keys

Licences vary by product and developer. They may be perpetual, annual or time-limited, for one device or several, for personal or commercial use, or as described on the product page. Read the licence details before purchase.

You must not:

• Share an activation key with others if the licence does not allow it.
• Resell the key.
• Publish the key on the internet.
• Use the key on more devices than allowed.
• Try to bypass activation systems or software limits.
• Use the licence in breach of the developer’s terms.

6. Prices and orders

Prices on the site are in Qatari Riyal, or in the currency shown on the product page or at checkout.

Softsouq may change prices, offers, or discounts at any time. Confirmed orders placed before a change are not affected.

Adding a product to a basket is not a confirmed purchase. A purchase is complete after payment is confirmed and Softsouq accepts the order.

If there is a clear error in price or description, Softsouq may cancel the order and refund the amount paid.

7. Payment

Payment is made through the methods shown on the site. Payments may be processed by third-party providers. Softsouq does not store full card numbers.

You agree to provide payment information that is accurate and that you are authorised to use. If payment fails or is declined by the bank or provider, the order may not be fulfilled until payment succeeds.

8. Electronic delivery

Digital products are delivered electronically through your Softsouq account, the registered email, the order page, or another method used by the store.

The product is treated as delivered when it is made available in the way described on the product or order page. You are responsible for providing a correct email and account details at purchase.

9. Activation and technical support

Some products need an internet connection or an account with the developer to activate. Follow the product’s activation instructions.

If activation fails, contact Softsouq support. We may ask for order details, device information, an error message, or a screenshot.

Softsouq does not guarantee that software will run on devices or systems that do not meet the developer’s requirements.

10. Refund policy for digital products

Because products are digital, some items may not be returnable or refundable after an activation key is shown, delivered, used, or activated, subject to the nature of the product and the laws of the State of Qatar.

If an activation key is invalid or does not work because of a problem with the product sold, contact Softsouq. After review we will try to provide a suitable remedy, such as:

• Re-activation or a replacement key,
• a product replacement, or
• a refund, depending on the case and the product terms.

Softsouq is not responsible for problems caused by:

• Incompatibility with the customer’s device.
• Incompatibility with the operating system.
• Use of a non-genuine operating system where that affects activation.
• Entering the key incorrectly.
• Using the key on more devices than the licence allows.
• Breach of the developer’s terms.
• Modifying or tampering with the software or operating system in a way that blocks activation.

11. Non-returnable products

Unless the product page or applicable law says otherwise, digital products may be non-refundable after:

1. The activation key is delivered to the customer.
2. The key or licence data is revealed.
3. The key is used or activated.
4. Download or use of the product has begun, where the nature of the product prevents a return.

Check that you have chosen the correct version, product, and licence type before you complete the purchase.

12. Intellectual property

Intellectual property in the Softsouq site, including the name, logo, design, text, images, software, and databases, belongs to Softsouq or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without prior consent.

Software sold through the site remains the intellectual property of the relevant companies, developers, and rights holders. Softsouq does not claim ownership of third-party software or trade marks.

13. Trade marks

Software names, company names, and trade marks on the site belong to their owners. They are used only to identify the products and services offered, unless stated otherwise.

14. Customer responsibility

You must use software in line with applicable law and each program’s licence. Products bought from Softsouq may not be used for illegal or fraudulent activity or to infringe others’ rights.

15. Limitation of liability

Softsouq takes reasonable care to keep the site available and information accurate, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Softsouq is not liable for damage caused by events outside its control, including internet outages, hosting, payment providers, or the developers’ systems.

Softsouq is not liable for indirect losses from using software bought on the site, except where liability cannot be excluded under the law of the State of Qatar.

16. Privacy and data protection

Customer data is handled under the Softsouq privacy policy. Some data may be collected to create accounts, fulfil orders, process payments, provide support, and improve the site. Data is not used for unlawful purposes and is handled under applicable Qatari law.

17. Content and reviews

The site may allow reviews or comments. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, that exposes other people’s personal data, that infringes intellectual property, that contains harmful links or software, or that promotes fraud or illegal activity. Softsouq may remove content that breaches these terms.

18. Suspension or closure of accounts

Softsouq may suspend or close an account where there is reasonable cause to believe the user:

• Breached these terms.
• Used unauthorised payment methods.
• Shared or resold activation keys in breach of the licence.
• Committed fraud.
• Tried to hack or harm the site.
• Used the site unlawfully.

Closing an account does not affect rights or duties that arose before closure.

19. External links

The site may include links or services from third parties. Softsouq is not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Review those sites’ terms before you use them.

20. Changes to these terms

Softsouq may update these terms to reflect legal, technical, or commercial changes. The updated version will be published on the site with a new last-updated date. Continued use after publication is treated as acceptance, to the extent allowed by law.

21. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. If a dispute arises, the parties will first try to resolve it amicably through customer service. If that is not possible, the competent authorities in Qatar shall have jurisdiction.

23. Acceptance

By using Softsouq, creating an account, or completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the site and do not complete a purchase.
